Office Hours

We invite users to request an appointment and speak with the RCD team directly.

This is a great time to:

  • ask questions about Palmetto;
  • follow up on a previous support request;
  • get feedback on your ideas;
  • solve a small problem quickly;
  • and more!

Schedule

Office hours are now held by appointments booked through a self-service interface, allowing much more flexibility in requesting help.

Use one of the following options to book an appointment:

These booking links may change, so please come here each time to request an appointment.

You must sign in to the booking site with your Clemson account (as described below). Signing in with a personal Outlook account will not work.

External users (users who are not Clemson students or Employees) of Palmetto can request request a meeting by submitting a ticket and including their availability.

If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel it.

  • Book Palmetto Support: Ask questions about or discuss anything related to Palmetto. Follow up on support request, request help creating batch scripts, request help installing software, request help solving issues, request guidance on improving performance, etc.
  • Book RCD Consultation: Ask us questions about various cyber-infrastructure for research topics, perhaps unrelated to Palmetto.
  • Book ColdFront Support: Discuss any issues related to ColdFront: creating or reviewing projects, requesting allocations, user management, etc.
  • Book AI/ML Consultation: Ask questions on running AI/ML workloads on Palmetto.
  • Book Cloud Consultation: Ask us questions about running research projects in the cloud. We can help with cost estimates, basic architecture advice, and some basic troubleshooting.

When you click one of these links, it will open an Outlook Login window. Fill in your email as your Clemson email and select Next.

You should now be redirected to a Clemson login page (you can confirm the domain is adfs.clemson.edu). Enter your Clemson password and press Sign in.

Once your Clemson login is complete, you will be redirected back to Outlook and asked if you'd like to stay signed in. You can select Yes if this is a personal computer.

You should now see our Research Computing and Data booking page and select your desired date and time from the available slots.

Canceling

If you cannot attend, please cancel the session. To do so,

  1. In your original confirmation email, select Reschedule.

  2. Select cancel booking in the web browser that opens.

Location

Until further notice, office hours will be held via Microsoft Teams. When you book an appointment, a link should be provided in the invite.
