Globus Overview

Globus provides a secure, unified interface for research data. You can use it to browse your files, and trigger data transfers. The data transfers happen in the background and Globus takes care of retries and transfer validation.

Globus is our recommended file transfer method for large files, gracefully handling terabytes of data.

To begin, you need to setup an account.

Transfers from your computer​

If you are transferring data from your computer you will want to setup Globus Connect Personal.

Sharing data​

Researchers can also use Globus to securely share data on Indigo with external users.

Box Connector​

Our Globus subscription includes the Globus Box Connector. Researchers can use the Clemson RCD Box collection in Globus to transfer files to and from Box.
